P M Consulting

Peggy Martin established P M Consulting, after many years of providing coaching and training services to hundreds of clients while owning and operating her own communications company.

In the spring of 2006 she fulfilled a lifelong dream; she became a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and was assigned to the Philippines as a Small Business Development Specialist. Foundation University in Dumaguete was her host agency and for over two years, she worked with the Extension Department of the university. She created and facilitated dozens of community development workshops using participatory planning and analysis methods and participated in business livelihood training.

In June, 2008, Peggy's life-changing experience with Peace Corps ended. She remained in the Philippines and after completing her TESOL (Teaching English to Learners of Other Languages) training in which she received certification, she developed her own ESL program specializing in Pronunciation and Accent Reduction.

While I was a Peace Corps volunteer, I enjoyed coordinating this back yard gardening project, working with the Department of Agriculture and the staff at Casa Cittadini. The garden has thrived beautifully for several years. Some of the vegetables produced are okra, eggplant, string beans, pechay, kamote tops (sweet potato), and carrots.

After spending several months in the U.S. with her family, she returned to the Philippines, and at this time, she is working as business consultant and coach with a Filipino client who is in the process of establishing a Training Services company.

Peggy is currently writing a memoir in which she shares her Peace Corps experience; her goal is to complete it by June 2010.
